Lot-et-Garonne (department 47) is ideally situated in the south-west of France. This vast, green region is characterised by rolling hills and impressive views, and boasts many picturesque towns and villages where there is always something to do during the holiday season. The neighbouring Lot region is just a few minutes away, whilst the impressive Dordogne is about twenty minutes’ drive away.

There are numerous attractions in the immediate vicinity, including Château de Bonaguil, an impressive remnant of the Hundred Years’ War. Château de Biron, Cahors, Penne d’Agenais and Tournon d’Agenais are also easy to visit. Bordeaux can be reached via the motorway in just over two hours, whilst Bergeac Airport is about an hour’s drive away (65 km).
